What does Nursery-Net offer?
ForecastingForecasting allows you real time attendance entry, saving time and paper work. For example; child absences and holidays can be entered as they happen. Recording employee time and attendance allows you to analyse staff deployment in the past, present and future, fundamentally saving significant management time. As a result, this allows managers to forecast both child and staff ratios acurately within their setting.
Child InformationThe Child Information System (CIS) allows you to register children with all the important and necessary details, via a simple step by step wizard. The child record then presents you with a complete, detailed breakdown of many aspects of the child information, all of which can be exported to deliver information in various formats. For example, to name a few:
- Contact Details Parent / Guardian / Doctor
- Session / Contract History
- Accident / Injury History
- Medical / Allergy Information
- Permission Details
- Invoice / Financial History
- Images: Birth certificates, Guardian Photos etc
PlanningThe planning module has been designed specifically for the new EYFS curriculum, which takes you through a simple step by step process, allowing you to produce short, medium and long term planning for settings of all sizes. The system allows you to review historically each created plan and print selected ones at any time. You are able to review each child's individual development record to assess whether they are meeting their Development Matters and allocate specific goals to children's progress.
InvoicingThe invoicing module is designed around a comprehensive pricing structure, which provides an infinite number of pricing policies. Child attendance can be charged by time, sessions or a combination of both. Additional charges for services taken during the month are recorded and added to the following month's invoice. Invoices can be produced weekly, monthly, annually or any other specified timeframe. The invoicing module is informed of attendance, extra sessions and absences through the forecasting module, even though all these events can also be entered from within invoicing itself. Resulting invoice values are posted to a book keeping system to quickly manage and show outstanding payments.
Staff ManagementThe HR Staff Management module allows management to record all of the statutory information required of practitioners and others working within the setting. The system provides warnings of any missing staff information, for example missing / expired CRB checks. Additionally it fully integrates into the Holiday and Absence module allowing managers to monitor all staff holidays, appointments and absences. The recorded data is beneficially represented in the following reports plus many more:
- Qualifications
- Training & Development
- Working Hours
- Filtered Staff Listings
EnquiriesThe enquiry system is a tool used to extensively record prospective client information. The information will only need to be entered once, as it does not need to be re-keyed when it is converted into a registration. Enquiries can be searched and filtered easily and the main screen also allows data capturing, such as advertising and registration details. Helping you to save money on marketing that is not necessary.
VisitsAllows you to record and monitor all visits and inductions of prospective clients coming into the setting. Once a visit has been booked this will automatically update the system, if another member of staff was to book another appointment, the system will immediately notify you of a double booking.
VouchersThe vouchers module of Nursery-Net provides you with a time saving tool to record payments made by payroll sacrificed vouchers. It integrates directly with the book keeping part of the system to show you an instant balance of the customer’s account. It enables you to run multiple searches i.e. by nursery, voucher provider and parents to see what vouchers have been received at your bank and vouchers that are pending clearance.
Book KeepingThe book keeping system can record receipts by cash, cheque, bank transfer, standing order, vouchers, payroll deduction and any other custom receipt methods such as credit card. This will benefit the nursery manager as it is easily accessible and so will be able to inform a parent of all payments received allowing confirmation of account balances when requested. You are also able to view historic payments, invoices, voucher receipts, direct debits, standing orders and grant funding that have been applied to each customer’s account. Once invoices have been produced they will automatically be imported into the book keeping module saving time on tedious data input.
Accident & MedicineIt’s a fact that small children will have accidents on a regular basis. Child care settings are required legally to record each one of these events. You will appreciate the quantity of paper work produced is substantial and the consequential ability to turn this raw data into meaningful information is extremely time consuming. The Nursery-Net accident module allows practitioners to quickly record the details of the accident and present this in a meaningful format such as filtering by practitioner involved or place of accident. Trends can be quickly viewed for risk assessment purposes allowing them to be made by settings to reduce common occurrences of accidents.
OrderingThe Nursery-Net ordering system allows settings to order supplies from a selection of electronic catalogues containing all nursery resources. Supplier catalogues can easily be added or edited. Favourite resources that are ordered regularly will be displayed with a star rating informing you whether this is an approved used product. The system can be configured for different budgets and different departments or settings. You can also assign multiple approvers for various orders and apply a final submitter. Individuals can order resources for their own departments and this will be allocated to their budget, all data submitted from different departments will all be collated for final submission.
Holiday & AbsenceThe Nursery-Net Holiday & Absence (Leave) module allows practitioners to place leave requests on their computer terminals, review their remaining leave entitlement and have their requests authorised or otherwise denied. The absence module fully integrates with the system and allows all staff to enter future appointment requests, for example; doctors, dentists and past sickness. This data is represented by management reports, allowing a full analysis of sickness and absence records to be viewed. The benefit is to clearly show any practitioners choosing to take 'long weekends' on a regular basis.
Grant Funding (NEG)Nursery Education Grant (NEG) funding is provided for by a complimentary module to invoicing, which automatically identifies eligible grant children and can produce a variety of reports to highlight financial overview, as well as various printable declaration forms. The system has been designed to allow for 'free nursery care and education at the point of delivery' as specified by the secretary of state for education and therefore keeps a record of all 'free time' allocated to each child for audit purposes.
Nursery-Net does all this and more, helping you free up more time to do what you do best, look after children!
